Ultradiag/AD900Lite - FAQ

Overview:

Ultradiag and AD900Lite are configured with the same passenger vehicle diagnostic software, but Ultradiag has IMMO software to do key programming, while AD900Lite doesn't.

1. Can the device be used with an endoscope?

Dear user, we don't have endoscope products. If you have other brands of endoscopes, you can download the app on your tablet and try it to see if it is compatible.

2. What is the ‘Common Library’ on the device used for?

It is the communication firmware between tablet and VCI. If there is a problem with some car communications, please can try to solve it by upgrading the software.

3. Why does the tablet still display English after I switch the language to German?

Dear user, there are system language and software language in the tablet, if you adjust the Ultradiag/AD900Lite software language already, please go to the system Settings on the Android page > System > Switch the language to German and check again. 

4. The font displayed on the device is too small. Can it be adjusted?

Yes, please go to the Settings on the Android homepage > Display > Adjust the font size.

5. My device cannot read any modules after connecting to the car.

Please follow below steps to try:
1) Check whether the VCI Bluetooth is showing connected status; 
2) Perform firmware repair and try again; 
3) Click the feedback button in the upper right corner to upload the log. Then email support@topdon.com to ask for help.

6. My VCI has no lights on after connecting to the vehicle OBD socket.

Dear user, please connect the VCI to another vehicle to test and eliminate the reason that the vehicle diagnostic socket itself does not provide power. If the VCI light still does not light up after changing the car, it may be a VCI hardware problem. Please collect a video and send it to support@topdon.com.

7. Why does the device show the software validity period is only 1 year? Isn’t the software valid for 2 years?

The validity period displayed in VCI management refers to the VCI hardware warranty period. Please check the software validity period in the upgrade center.

8. Ultradiag prompts the "operation time out" when executing key programming.

The data transmission may sometimes lag when connected via Bluetooth, it's recommended to connect the VCI and tablet via uab cable, then test the function again.
